Home Decor: Entryway Update

It has been quite a while since I posted any home decor/home improvement updates.

My latest project was the front entryway. It was empty for so long and I finally decided to do something about it. It seems like the process of decorating and filling empty spaces with furniture is never-ending.

Whenever I scroll through my Instagram feed and see other people’s homes, I can’t help but wonder “How in the world did they furnish their huuuge house so fast?”

I must remind myself: How boring would it be if my house was completely furnished, painted, and decorated?

Very boring!

That’s the fun part. The process of making a house feel like home is what makes owning a house so wonderful. So after one year and some months since moving into our new home, the entryway finally looks decent. One project at a time, one room at a time, and one day at a time, I’m checking things off my list.

See the progression!

A couple of weeks ago, I received the scariest phone call yet to date from my mother. It was my father. Next  thing I knew I was on a flight to Dallas to go see him at the hospital . I will not write details here, but […]

Don’t Let Your Dreams Cloud Reality

Hello world! I hope you haven’t forgotten all about me. The last time I blogged was about four months ago. Shame on me. Yes, you can say it. It’s okay. I should feel bad. I kept telling The Hubz, “I need to blog. What should I blog about?” But I never actually took the time to do it. Okay enough about my excuses. We’ve all had that “Dream” that we could barely go a day without thinking about. Or that thing we want so badly that we are working hard daily to “have it.” Well, for me it is my […]
