When They Go Low, We Go High.

Don’t bend; don’t water it down; don’t try to make it logical; don’t edit your own soul according to the fashion. Rather, follow your most intense obsessions mercilessly.

One of my articles/blog post went viral  over the weekend. This past weekend, I was so busy with friends and family that came to visit from out of town. I was having so much fun, so the last thing on my mind was checking my blog stats or anything blogging related-until last night. I noticed that in one day, I suddenly had crazy amount of traffic to my blog and when I checked my twitter, I received some really mean tweets from strangers.

Apparently this blog post I published on the Huffington Post, really stirred people up in the wrong way and people went back and forth on fb calling me names.

Internet bullies/strangers started hunting me down on social media because they disagreed with what I wrote. My initial reaction was to hide away forever and stop writing  (lol) but now it is time to BLOCK some people.

I understand that people will agree and disagree, so I am trying not to take it personal. Oh, the joys of writing controversial  topics. I received lots of encouragement and uplifting words from my Instagram fam.

I suppose this is the part of writing I never really prepared for. I knew there was a chance my blog posts could go viral, but I never  thought it would actually happen.
If anything, I see this as success.  And that’s what writers do. We pour out our souls. We tell the unseen, the forgotten, the unheard-of,  the misunderstood. We reveal secret thoughts and imagination. We say what you dare not to even think of…

Never be afraid to raise your voice for honesty and truth and compassion against injustice and lying and greed. If people all over the world…would do this, it would change the earth.
